Opened in 2017 on a quiet street in Sultanahmet, Ajwa Hotel Sultanahmet was built and fitted out by Gülab Architecture in the Seljuk and Ottoman manner, with hand-painted ceilings, mother-of-pearl furniture and Tabriz carpets in its 61 rooms and suites, an eighth-floor restaurant looking over the Sea of Marmara, a spa with a hammam, and no alcohol; the Blue Mosque is a ten-minute walk.
