Opened in November 2019 on Sıraselviler Caddesi off Taksim Square, Sofitel Istanbul Taksim keeps the ornate stone facade of the former Magic Cinema, from 1921 the Maxim nightclub, beneath a new glass block: 202 rooms including 33 suites, a seasonal rooftop pool with Bosphorus views, an indoor pool and spa with hammam, and restaurants, with Istiklal Avenue a few minutes' walk away.
